Udipi Hotel Sudha

Udipi Hotel Sudha has been at No 111 on Poonamallee High Road for a long time. Flowers Road is a busy part of Chennai 600084. We see a lot of traffic passing by our front door every single day. The noise from the road is something we just got used to. We started this place to serve simple food to people working nearby. Our kitchen starts very early in the morning. You can smell the cooking if you walk past at six. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations. The walls are plain and the tables are basic. We just want to make sure people have a place to sit and eat. It gets very crowded during lunch hour. Sometimes people have to wait a few minutes for a seat. We try to move fast. Our staff is mostly local guys who have been with us for years. We buy our supplies from the markets around Chennai. It is just a regular Udipi style hotel. Nothing more, nothing less. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors because of all the dust from the high road. It’s a lot of work but we like being part of this neighborhood. We are just here doing our job. We don't do much marketing, mostly people just know we are here on the corner of Flowers Road. It’s just a busy little spot.
