Aasife & Brothers Biriyani Center

Aasife & Brothers Biriyani Center is on Woods Road in the Royapettah area of Chennai. We are at No 19/A 1 A2, which is just a short walk from the Express Avenue Mall. This is a very busy part of the city with lots of traffic and shoppers. We have been making biriyani at this spot for quite a long time. It’s a family-run place, so you will see many brothers and cousins working in different parts of the shop. The kitchen is always busy, and you can hear the sounds of the big pots being moved around. The seating area is basic and functional. It can get very crowded, especially on weekends when people are out at the mall. Sometimes you have to wait for a table or sit with people you don't know. We don't spend money on fancy furniture or decorations. We just keep the place running and the food moving. Many people come here just to pick up parcels for their families. The smell of the spices usually fills the whole street outside. We are just a local business trying to do our daily work. There’s nothing corporate about how we run things here. We have some fans to help with the Chennai heat, but it stays warm inside.
