Aksinya International/Aksana Cafe/Chuttney Restaur

Our place is tucked away at 27 Russian Culture Centre on Kasturi Ranga Road in Mylapore. It’s actually behind the Chola Sheraton which makes it a bit quiet compared to the main roads around here. We go by a few names like Aksinya International or Aksana Cafe and Chuttney Restaur but it’s all the same team running things. Being in the Russian Culture Centre gives the area a different vibe and we get a lot of people who are just curious about the building or coming for some event nearby. Mylapore is an old part of the city and we like being in this little corner where it’s a bit greener. We spend our mornings setting up the tables and checking the stock in the kitchen. It’s not a very loud place so you can actually hear yourself think when you sit down for a meal. We don’t really go in for any of that polished corporate stuff because that’s just not how we operate. We just want to serve food and keep the place tidy for whoever stops by. Some days we have people from the nearby offices and other days it’s just folks walking through the neighborhood. It’s a bit of a mix and that keeps the work interesting for us. We’ve been behind the hotel for quite some time and plan on staying put.
