Tower Gate Restaurant

We are tucked away inside the City Tower Hotel on Walltax Road. Park Town is a crowded area, and our restaurant is right in the middle of all that Chennai energy. To find us, you have to walk through the hotel lobby. It’s not a big, flashy place with a view. Instead, it’s a room with some sturdy tables and chairs where we’ve been serving food for a long time. The kitchen is right there, so you can smell the spices and hear the stove going all day. We don’t have a huge menu with hundreds of items. We just do the things our regulars like. A lot of the people who eat here are staying in the hotel or working in the nearby shops. The fans are always spinning to keep the air moving, and it can get a bit warm when the place is full. Our waiters have been with us for years and they don't use fancy tablets to take orders, just a small pad and a pen. The floor is old tile that we scrub every night. We get our vegetables from the market nearby every morning. It’s a simple, honest spot to get a meal without any of the pretentiousness you find in the newer parts of the city. We just focus on getting the food out hot and making sure there’s enough for everyone who walks through the door.
