Aarthi Hotel

Triplicane High Road is a place where you can hear the city breathing. Our hotel is at No 6, and it is right in the middle of all that noise and energy. Living and working in the 600005 area means you get used to the humidity and the sound of bells from the nearby temples. We open up early because the street starts moving before the sun is even fully up. People come in for their morning coffee or a quick bite before heading to work or the beach. The furniture is a bit worn, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it is our space. We do not try to be something we are not. We just provide a spot for people to sit down for a minute. My family has seen this neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the way we do things has not changed much. We wash the floors, prep the vegetables, and wait for the lunch rush. It gets very hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans running at full speed. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when it is quiet just to watch the bikes go by. It is a humble life here in Triplicane, and we are just another part of the street. There are no fancy uniforms or scripts, just us doing the daily work and keeping the place going.
