The Society Restaurant

The Society Restaurant is inside the Hotel Ambassador Pallava at No. 30 Montieth Road in Egmore. This part of Chennai has a lot of history and the building itself is quite old and sturdy. We have been operating here for many years. It is a very different feeling from the modern malls you see nowadays. We have high ceilings and the furniture is the kind that lasts a long time. People come here when they want a quiet place to sit away from the chaos of the Egmore traffic. We get a lot of office workers during the day and hotel guests in the evening. The staff has been around for a long time, so they know the menu by heart. We do not use a lot of fancy technology here. We still do things the old-fashioned way. The kitchen is tucked away and the cooks have their own way of doing things that has not changed much. We do not do any big promotions or try to act like we are something we are not. It is just a restaurant in a classic hotel. We spend our days making sure the linens are clean and the tables are set. It is a slow and steady kind of place. We like the quiet atmosphere and most of our regulars seem to like it too. It is just a part of the local landscape in Egmore. We just keep doing what we know best.
