The Royal Regency

Located at No 26/27 on Poonamallae High Road, we are right in the middle of the bustle of Park Town. Being near the Everest Bus Stop means there is never a quiet moment outside. Chennai is a fast city, and this road is one of the main arteries. At The Royal Regency, we just try to keep a handle on things. It’s a big building, and there is always a bulb to change or a floor to sweep. We aren't a fancy corporate hotel chain. Most of us working here have been around for years. We know where the best tea is nearby and which buses stop where. The humidity in Chennai can be tough on the walls, so we’re always painting or fixing something. It’s practical work. We don't have a marketing team writing stuff for us. We just answer the phones and check people into their rooms. The lobby is usually full of people waiting for their bus or meeting someone. It can get a bit disorganized sometimes, but we do our best to keep things moving. We’re just a bunch of people working in Park Town, trying to make sure anyone who stays here has what they need. No fluff, just the daily grind on Poonamallae High Road. We keep the lights on and the doors open for whoever needs a bed for the night. It's just a regular part of the city life here, and we handle it day by day.
