Tandoori Restaurant

We have been running Tandoori Restaurant here on Sterling Road for a while now. You can find us on the 4th floor of the Aruna Hotel Annex, which is right in the middle of Nungambakkam. It's a busy area but once you get up here to 144 and 145, things quiet down a bit. We just focus on getting the food right every day. The kitchen team starts early to get the tandoors heated up properly because that's what makes the difference. It’s a simple setup. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that. People mostly come here because they know what they are going to get. Sometimes the elevator is a bit slow, so you might have to wait a minute or two to get up to the fourth floor. We see a lot of office workers during the week and then families on the weekends. It gets pretty loud when the place is full, especially on Friday nights. We try to keep things moving as fast as we can. It’s just a regular spot where you can sit down and eat without too much fuss. We’ve stayed in this same location for years because it works for us and the customers know where to find us. If you are walking down Sterling Road, just look for the Aruna Hotel sign. We are tucked away up there. It’s not a huge place, just a few tables and the kitchen. We really try to make sure the food is hot when it hits the table.
