This restaurant is located on Luz Church Road in Mylapore. We are right across from the Navashakthi Vinayakar Temple, which is a very busy landmark around here. You can always hear the temple bells and the sound of traffic from the street. Mylapore is one of those places that never really sleeps. Even early in the morning, there are people out and about. We keep the doors open so the breeze can come in, though it mostly just brings in the noise from the buses. Our furniture is just the standard wooden stuff, nothing special. We focus on getting the work done and making sure people aren't waiting too long. My brother manages the accounts, and I stay out front. It’s a small team, maybe five or six of us in total. We don’t have a big menu with a hundred items. We just do what we know. The kitchen gets really cramped when everyone is working at once, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We get a lot of people who stop by after visiting the temple. They’re usually in a hurry, so we try to be quick. It's an old-fashioned way of doing things, I suppose. No fancy apps or ordering systems here. Just a pen and a notepad and a lot of walking back and forth. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do for a living and we are used to the grind.
