We are right there on 2nd Avenue in Anna Nagar, just across from the Sri Ayyappan Temple. It's a busy spot, especially in the mornings when people are coming from the temple or headed to work. My family has been running this for a good while now. We keep the place simple. No A/C in the main area, just fans and open doors to let the air in, though it gets quite hot in the afternoons. You’ll mostly see regulars here who know where everything is. We start early, around 6 or 7, getting the kitchen ready. It’s a lot of work, honestly. Cleaning the floors, setting the tables, and making sure the stove is going. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so loud we have to shout a bit to hear the orders, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We don’t have fancy decorations or anything. Just the basic tables and chairs that have been here since we opened. People usually come in, eat their meal, and head out quickly. We try to keep things moving so no one is waiting too long on the sidewalk. It’s just me and a few others working here most days. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, with new buildings going up and all that, but we’re still here in the same spot doing the same thing every day. It is a decent life, even if it is tiring.
