Sri Indian Dhaba

You can find our dhaba at No 410 on Walltax Road in the Park Town area. Being so close to the Railway Parcel Service Office means we see a lot of different people coming through Chennai every single day. It is a very busy street with constant traffic. We focus on making dhaba-style food that is heavy and fills you up quickly. We do not have any air conditioning or fancy seating here. It is just a straightforward place to sit and have a meal. The kitchen is always running because people arrive at all hours depending on the train schedules. Sometimes customers are in a real hurry to catch their next ride. We try our best to get the rotis and dal served as fast as possible. It gets quite hot inside, especially during the middle of the day. The noise from the street outside never really stops. We have been at this location for a good amount of time now. The space is a bit cramped when we are full, but most people do not seem to mind as long as they get their food. We buy our vegetables every morning from the local market to keep things moving. There is no big secret to what we do here. We just cook the food and serve it to whoever walks in. The floors require a lot of mopping because of all the foot traffic from the station. It is a real busy spot.
