Sree Hari Krishna Lunch Home

We started Sree Hari Krishna Lunch Home on Mooker Nalla Muthu Street because we wanted to serve simple food to people working around Parrys. The GTO office is right nearby, so we get a lot of people coming in for a quick meal during their break. It’s a busy area and things can get crowded, but we try to keep it moving. We’ve been at No. 26/8 for a while now. Most people know us for the basic stuff we make every day. It isn't anything fancy, just the regular food you'd eat at home when you're hungry. We open up early to get things ready for the afternoon rush. Sometimes the street gets noisy with all the traffic in Parrys, but inside, we just focus on the cooking. The kitchen is small but we manage. We use what we can find in the local market. Nothing is complicated here. You just come in, sit down, and eat what is ready. Most of our regulars are folks who work in the nearby shops or offices. They don't want a big menu, just something that tastes right and fills them up. We don't spend much time on decorations or anything like that. The chairs are just regular chairs. We just want to make sure there's enough food for everyone who walks through the door. It's a simple life running a lunch home in this part of Chennai. I think it’s about being there for the neighborhood.
