Sree Balajee Marriage Caterers is tucked away in Kodungaiyur, right near the Gandhi Statue on 3rd Street. We’ve been handling food for weddings and big gatherings in this area for a long time now. It’s a family-run thing, mostly. We started out small, just helping neighbors with their functions, and it grew from there. Our kitchen is located in Venkateswara Nagar Phase I. It's a busy place when a big order comes in. We spend a lot of time cleaning vegetables and getting the fires going early in the morning. Marriage catering is hard work because everything has to be ready on time. We don't use fancy equipment, just big pots and traditional methods. Sometimes things get hectic, especially during the wedding season when we have multiple bookings. We try to keep our prices fair because we know how expensive weddings can be. We don't have a big office with air conditioning. Usually, people just come to our house or the kitchen to talk about the menu. We write everything down in a big notebook. It’s not high-tech, but it works for us. We just want the food to taste like it was made at home. We focus on the basics and making sure there is enough for everyone. That’s our main goal every time we take on a job. We just keep our heads down and cook. It is simple enough when you think about it.
