Shri Paramakudi Authentic Chettinad Restaurant A/C

We are located at No Y-219 on 2nd Avenue in Anna Nagar, which is quite a well-known part of Chennai. We are very close to the Iyyappan Temple, so many people stop by after they finish their prayers. Since Chennai gets so hot, we made sure to have air conditioning in the dining hall so people can eat in comfort. The furniture is just simple tables and chairs that are easy to wipe down. We focus on the Chettinad style of cooking that we grew up with, using the spices that belong in those dishes. The kitchen is always busy with the sound of pans hitting the stove and the smell of pepper and curry leaves. Sometimes the wait for a table can be a bit long on the weekends because 2nd Avenue gets very crowded with shoppers and families. We don't have a big corporate team; it is just us and a few cooks and servers who have been with us for a while. The 600040 area is a good place to be, even if the parking outside can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We try our best to keep things moving fast so people are not waiting too long for their food. It is just a regular neighborhood restaurant where you can come as you are and have a meal that reminds you of home. We like being part of the Anna Nagar community.
