Sangamam Chettinadu Restaurant

We are located at No 4 on Casa Major Road in Egmore. You can find us right across from Muthu Medicals. We specialize in Chettinadu style cooking, which is what we grew up with. The restaurant isn't very large, but we have enough room for several tables. We don't go for any modern decor or anything like that. We just have simple walls and standard furniture. The kitchen is where all the work happens, and we use a lot of spices to get the flavors right. People come here specifically because they want that particular taste from the Chettinad region. It is a busy area in Egmore, so we get a mix of office workers and locals. We try to keep the prices fair so people can come back often. It is not a place for a quiet, romantic date because it can get quite loud with the clatter of plates. We don't mind that, as it shows people are enjoying themselves. We have been here for a good while and have seen many other shops come and go. We just stay focused on our cooking and serving the customers who walk in. There is no corporate office behind us, just a small team of cooks and servers. If you are on Casa Major Road and feel like some spicy food, we are usually here.
