Sachin Ka Dhaba

Sachin Ka Dhaba is located at No 5 Park View Hotel on Vepery Church Road. If you are looking for us in Chennai, we are right across from the Indian Oil Petrol Bunk. The area is always crowded with cars and bikes, so it can be a bit of a challenge to find parking sometimes. Our dhaba is a small, straightforward place. We have some wooden benches and tables that have seen better days. The kitchen is partially open, so you can see the steam and smell the spices while we are cooking. We mostly do North Indian style dishes which is a bit different for this part of Vepery. We get a mix of office workers during the day and people looking for a late dinner at night. The walls have a few old pictures and the paint is peeling a little bit in the corners, but it feels lived in. My brother does most of the heavy cooking while I take the orders and talk to the customers. We also have a few delivery boys who are always coming and going with parcels. It’s a lot of standing around and the heat from the stoves can be quite a lot in the Chennai weather. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of helpers who have been with us for a while. It’s a simple setup and we just focus on getting the food ready for whoever walks through the door.
