RMA Karaikudi Chettynad Hotel

Started at Egmore on Whannels Road a while back. It’s right across from that old Imperial Hotel. Most days it’s just us getting the kitchen ready before the lunch rush starts. Chennai heat is something else, so the fans are always on. People come in from the offices nearby looking for a quick plate of rice or some spicy gravy. We don’t have fancy chairs or anything, just basic tables where you sit and eat. It gets pretty loud when the street traffic picks up outside. We keep things simple because that's what people expect around here. Sometimes we run out of certain items if the crowd is too big, but that’s just how it goes. The staff has been here for years and they know the regulars by face. Whannels Road is always busy with people heading to the station or just walking around. We just try to get the food out hot and fast. No big decorations on the walls, just the menu and maybe a calendar. It’s a bit cramped when it's full, but nobody seems to mind much. We see a lot of travelers since we are near the central areas. Usually, by the evening, things quiet down a bit before the dinner crowd shows up. We don't do anything flashy, just the usual Chettynad style cooking that everyone in this part of town knows. It's a plain spot for a decent meal if you're in the area.
