Ratna Cafe

If you have ever been through the Chennai Railway Station, you might have seen Ratna Cafe. We are located right in the Park Town area, which is always moving. It is a very fast-paced environment. Thousands of people pass by every hour. We are used to the sound of train announcements and the constant shuffling of feet. The cafe is a place where travelers can take a quick break before they head out. It’s not a fancy place where you sit for hours. It’s more about getting something to eat or a hot coffee before your train leaves the platform. We have to work quickly because almost everyone is in a hurry to get somewhere. The humidity in Chennai is always there, so we try to keep things moving as best as we can. We don't have a marketing department writing fancy stories about us or anything like that. We are just a group of people making food for passengers and commuters. The station at Park Town is a central hub, so we see people from all over the place. Some of them look very tired from long journeys, and we just give them a place to sit for a minute. We deal with the daily rush as it comes every single day. Sometimes things get a bit messy when a big train arrives, but we clean up fast and get ready for the next one. We’ve been part of the station life for a long time now.
