If you go down Prakasam Salai in Broadway, you’ll find us at No 116 Gujarati Mandal. We’re Poonams Gujarati Bhojanalaya Restaurant, and we’ve been serving food here near the High Court for a long time. The place is pretty straightforward. We cook Gujarati food the way we know how. It’s a busy area with all the court stuff and the market nearby, so we get a lot of people coming in for lunch. We don't have a big menu; we just stick to what we’re good at. The kitchen starts early because there’s a lot of prep for the rotis and the dals. It gets crowded during the afternoon, and it can be a bit loud with everyone talking and the sounds from the street outside. We aren't trying to be a five-star place. It’s just wooden tables and regular plates. Most of our customers are regulars who work around Broadway. They come in, eat, and head back to work.
