Omar Khayyam Restaurant

Omar Khayyam Restaurant is located at No 121 on Usman Road, right in the middle of T Nagar. It’s a very famous part of Chennai, mostly because of the shopping and the crowds. We are right opposite Panagal Park, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us. The street outside is almost always packed with people looking for clothes or jewelry, and we get a lot of them coming in when they need a break from the sun. The restaurant has been here for a long time, and the walls have seen a lot of people come and go. We don't go for anything too modern; we like the way things are. My staff has been with me for years, and we just go about our business day by day. The kitchen is busy from the time we open until we lock up the shutters at night. T Nagar can be very overwhelming with the noise and the heat, so we try to keep things calm inside. We serve a lot of different dishes, but we don't make a big deal about it. It’s just food at the end of the day. You can see the trees in the park from our front windows, which is nice in the evenings. We just keep our heads down and work, making sure the plates are clean and the customers are fed. It’s a lot of walking back and forth.
