Numeric Power Systems Ltd

Working out of Numeric House at 5, Sir P.S. Sivaswamy Salai in Mylapore has its ups and downs. The area is old and has a lot of character, but parking is a nightmare. Most of us at Numeric Power Systems Ltd take the bus or ride a scooter to work. The building itself is sturdy and has been here for quite some time. We handle a lot of power backup systems and UPS units here. It’s a mix of office work and hands-on testing in the back room. You can usually hear the hum of the transformers if you stand near the service area. We keep a lot of logs on paper because it’s just easier than clicking through menus sometimes. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re more worried about the equipment. Mylapore gets very hot in the summer, so the ceiling fans are always spinning at top speed. We get a lot of locals walking in asking about batteries for their home systems. We try to give them a straight answer without any fluff. It’s a familiar routine for everyone on the staff. We eat lunch on the roof sometimes when there’s a breeze. It’s not a fancy corporate setup. We just have desks, workbenches, and a lot of heavy boxes. It’s a solid place to work and the neighbors are mostly quiet businesses like ours. We have been here a long time and know the streets well.
