New Aachis Chettinad Restaurant

We are set up at No 149 in Alsa Mall, which is right across from the Museum on Montieth Road in Egmore. New Aachis Chettinad Restaurant is our little corner of the mall where we serve food. It gets pretty busy around here, especially on the weekends when people are visiting the museum or doing some shopping. We don't try to be a fancy five-star place. We just want to serve the kind of food we like to eat. The kitchen is always noisy and there is usually a lot of steam and smells coming out of it. We have a few tables and chairs, and it can get a bit tight when the lunch rush hits. Most of our staff have been cooking this way for a long time. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone telling us how to look polished. We just put the food on the plate and hope people enjoy it. Egmore is a great part of Chennai to be in. There is so much history around Montieth Road. We like being a part of the daily life here. If you are walking through Alsa Mall and you're hungry, you can find us easily. It’s a straightforward shop. We don’t overcomplicate things. We just show up, start the stoves, and get to work every single day. We don't worry about being perfect, just about getting the orders right.
