Murudis Restaurant

Our restaurant is located at number 94 on Choolai High Road, right near the post office here in Chennai. It is a busy part of town, so there is always a lot of noise from the street coming in through the door. We start things pretty early in the morning to get the kitchen ready for the breakfast crowd. The stove stays hot for most of the day, and it can get quite warm inside despite the fans we have going. It’s a plain place with simple tables and chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. We don't spend money on fancy menus or decorations because we prefer to just focus on the cooking. The staff has been with us for a while, and they know most of the people who come in every day by name. You’ll hear the clinking of metal spoons and the sound of the pressure cooker going off in the back. Sometimes when it’s really busy, you might have to wait a few minutes for a seat, but people don't seem to mind much. We get our vegetables from the market nearby every morning to make sure everything is okay to use. It’s a lot of standing and moving around, and by the end of the day, we’re usually pretty tired. But it’s a steady business and it keeps us going. We just keep the doors open and do our best.
