M/S Rs & Co. We are situated on Kutchery Road in Mylapore. The address is a bit confusing because it’s got an old number, 109, and a new one, 233/1. We are right behind the Raja Kalyana Mandapam. During wedding season, you can hear the music and the crowds from our back window. It’s a very old part of Chennai, so the streets are narrow and full of life. Our shop isn't very big, but we manage to cram everything we need into it. We've been in Mylapore for a long time. The building has some character, maybe too much sometimes when the roof leaks a little during the monsoon. We handle the usual daily business tasks. It’s mostly just us and a couple of helpers. People stop by on their way to the temple or the market. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Just a small board so people know they’re in the right place. Sometimes the heat in April and May is hard to deal with, but we have a good fan. We drink a lot of tea from the shop at the corner. It’s a quiet existence compared to the big offices downtown. We know the local postman and the other shopkeepers on Kutchery Road. It’s a community here. We just do our bit and go home. Usually, we close up right on time unless there is a special request. It's a long day but we don't mind it much.
