La Woods Restaurant & The Bar

We’ve been here at Woods Road for quite a while now. It’s a busy spot right near Spencer Plaza, so there’s always something going on outside. Being part of La Woods Hotel means we see a lot of people coming through for work or just visiting Mount Road. Most days, the restaurant gets a mix of hotel guests and folks working in the nearby offices who just want a quiet meal. We have the bar too, which is where people usually end up after a long shift to grab a drink and relax. It isn't a fancy place with a bunch of rules, just a spot where you can sit down and get fed. The kitchen stays busy, especially during lunch when the Mount Road traffic is at its worst. Sometimes the air conditioning is a bit too cold, but people don't seem to mind too much. We just try to keep things running smooth and make sure the tables are clean. It’s a bit of an old-school setup, nothing like those modern glass buildings you see popping up everywhere else. We know the regulars by name and they know where to find us. If you’re walking down Woods Road, you’ll see the sign. It’s pretty straightforward. We don't do much in the way of big events, just daily service. It’s just how we do things here in Chennai. The staff has been around for years, so we all know the routine by heart. It is what it is.
