Kyungbokgong Restaurant

We set up this restaurant on Chamiers Road, right by the Nandanam Arch. It’s a busy spot in Chennai, so there is always noise from the traffic. We’ve been serving food here for some time now. It’s a small place, nothing too fancy inside, just tables and chairs and a kitchen that stays busy. We mostly get people who work nearby or live in the neighborhood. Our menu has the things we like to cook. Sometimes the place gets crowded on weekends, and we have to move fast. We do all the cleaning and prep work ourselves before the doors open. It’s a lot of hours standing up, but it’s what we do. We didn't want a place that felt like a big corporate chain. It’s just a regular local eatery. Some days we have more customers than others, which is how it goes. We buy our supplies from the local markets when we can. The location is easy to find if you know where the arch is. We aren't trying to be the most famous spot in town, just a place where you can get a meal. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint soon, but we focus more on what's happening in the kitchen. We just keep our heads down and cook. It is a simple way to make a living.
