Khaja Restaurant

You can find us on Poonamallee High Road, right across from the Everest Building. This is a very hectic part of Chennai near Park Town. There is always traffic moving toward the station or the hospital nearby. Khaja Restaurant is just a small spot along the main road where you can stop. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. It is just a place to eat and move on with your day without much fuss. The building at 111/8 has been our home for some time now. We see a lot of travelers who are just in town for a day or two and need a quick bite. It’s a simple setup with a few benches and tables that have seen better days. We don’t use any fancy marketing tricks or big advertisements. What you see is what you get when you walk through the door. The kitchen stays hot, and the front area stays busy with people. We are just regular people trying to run a business in a crowded city. Sometimes we run out of things if the morning was too busy for the staff. It’s just how it goes in a small shop. My uncle started this a long time ago and we just keep it going for the next generation. It’s not perfect, but it works for the people who need a quick meal. The noise from the High Road never really stops, so it’s always a bit loud inside. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
