Khaja Paradise

We are located at Vepery High Road, right across from the Periamet Masjid. It’s an old building, the address used to be number 2 but now it’s number 3. This part of Chennai stays very busy with all the shops and people going to the mosque for prayers. Khaja Paradise is just a simple place we put together to serve the community. It gets very hot in Periamet, so we try to keep the place as cool as possible for whoever comes in. You won’t find any fancy stuff or expensive furniture here. We have basic tables and the kitchen is right where you can see it if you look closely. Most of the people who come here live in the neighborhood or are passing through for their daily work. It’s a bit of a squeeze when it gets crowded during the busy afternoon hours. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the streets change quite a bit over the years. My brother and I run the front mostly. It’s a lot of hard work keeping things clean and making sure people get their food on time. We don't have a website or any of those modern things. Just this physical shop on the road. The street outside is usually full of bikes and carts. It is a loud, lively area and we are just a small part of it. We just focus on serving the locals who have been coming to us for years. It’s just a regular daily routine for us.
