Khaanaa Ghaanam Restaurant

Our restaurant, Khaanaa Ghaanam, is situated at No 132 on Chamiers Road. We are right next to the Nandanam Arch. If you know that part of Chennai, you know it's a pretty prominent spot. The traffic on Chamiers Road can be quite something during rush hour. We see it all from our front windows. The restaurant isn't overly decorated. We’ve kept it pretty simple with basic furniture and lighting. We’ve been operating in Nandanam for some time now. It’s a mix of office workers and locals who come in. We have a routine that we follow every day, starting with the early prep in the kitchen. The kitchen is where all the action is. It's not a huge space, so we have to be organized. Sometimes we have issues with the plumbing or the lights, like any other old building in this area. We just fix them and move on. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We mostly rely on the people walking by or those who work in the nearby offices. It’s a decent place to sit down for a bit and escape the heat outside. The staff is friendly enough, though we can get a bit stressed when the place is full. We just want to serve the food and keep the place running. It’s a local Chennai business through and through. The Nandanam Arch is a good landmark for us.
