Hyderabadi Biryani Corner

This is our little spot, Hyderabadi Biryani Corner, located at New No 53 on Shaik Maistry Street in Royapuram. If you are from Chennai, you know Royapuram has its own way of living. It is busy, crowded, and there is always something happening outside on the street. We’ve been at this address for some time now. The building is older, and the street can get a bit narrow when the delivery trucks are trying to pass through. Inside, it's just a simple setup. We spend most of our time in the back getting things ready. It gets quite humid in the kitchen, especially in the afternoons, but that is just how it is in this city. We don't really do much advertising. People mostly find us because they live nearby or they are walking down Shaik Maistry Street. Sometimes we have a few chairs outside if it's not too crowded. It isn't a huge place, just a corner shop really. We see a lot of the local families coming in on the weekends. It feels like a small community here. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, or the water delivery is late, but we just manage. We use the old style of doing things because that is what we know. It is just a regular shop where we work every day from morning until late at night. There’s no big corporate office behind us, just a few people trying to run a decent place in Royapuram.
