Government Tamil Higher Printing School

We operate out of the second floor at Number 19 on Subramaniam Colony Road. It is a busy part of Velacheri. If you come by, you have to head up the stairs to find us. This place is focused on printing, so there is usually the smell of ink and paper in the air. It’s a government-run spot where people come to learn the trade properly. We have been in this Chennai neighborhood for a while. The colony road has a lot going on, but once you are inside the school, everyone is mostly focused on the machines. It is not a modern office building with glass walls. It is more of a practical space with heavy equipment and work tables. Some of the machines have been around for years and they still run fine if you treat them right. We spend a lot of time teaching the basics of how things get onto paper. It’s hands-on work. Most of the folks here are from the local area or come in from other parts of the city by bus. The lighting is bright enough to see the fine details of the print jobs. We don’t really do much marketing or anything like that. People just know we are here on the second floor. It gets a bit hot during the middle of the day, but that is just how it is in Chennai. We keep the fans going and get through the work without too much fuss. Every stack of paper we print is done with care.
