Karimpur-Ii Women Farmers Producer Company Limited is run by the local women here in the Goas village area of Nadia. Our office is right here in Goas, near the police station in Karimpur. We started this because we wanted the women farmers in our part of Nadia to have their own organization. It is not always easy for women in agriculture, but having this company gives us a way to manage things ourselves. We deal with the day-to-day work of farming, from the seeds to the harvest. We don't have a big staff or a fancy office. It is mostly just us getting together to discuss what needs to be done on the farms. We use simple methods and we don't try to act like a big corporation. We are just people from the village who know how to work the land. The Karimpur II area is where we live and where we work every day. Being part of this company means we can support each other through the good seasons and the bad ones. We keep our records in the village and handle our business right here where we grow our crops. It is a practical, local effort and we are proud of the work we do. If you are in the Goas area, you will see us out in the fields or at our small office. It is just basic work but it matters to our families.
