Boitarani Rural Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out in Tarapur, specifically at the home of Kalyani Mondal and Bibhuti Mondal in the Kumri area. It’s a very local affair. We started this because we saw a need for the farmers around here to have a bit more organization. It’s not a polished business by any means. Our office is more like a meeting spot where everyone comes to share news and figure out the best way to handle the crops. We spend our time talking about seeds, weather, and how to get the best out of the soil we have. Most of us have been farming since we were kids, so we aren't new to this. We don’t use corporate lingo or try to sound like we’re more than we are. We are just a group of rural producers trying to make the system work a little better for everyone involved. Some days are tough, especially when the rains don't come or when the transport breaks down, but that’s just life in the countryside. We keep things simple and practical. If someone has a problem, we sit down and talk it through until we find a solution. We aren't looking for awards or big headlines; we just want to keep our farms going and our families fed. It’s a small operation, but it means a lot to the people here in Tarapur.
