Chakdaha Progressive Women Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our company is the Chakdaha Progressive Women Farmers Producer Company Limited. We are located in Village Jaguli, under the Ghetugachi post office. We use a space at Haripada Mondal’s place for our meetings and admin work. This is a group run by women who are all involved in farming in some way. We live in and around Chakdaha and decided that we could do better if we worked as a single unit. It’s a busy life because most of us are balancing farm work with looking after our families. We aren't trying to be fancy or sound like we’re from a big city. We just talk about things like seeds, fertilizers, and how to get a better price for our vegetables. The office in Jaguli is a quiet spot, which is nice when we have to sit down and go through the books. We’ve learned a lot about running a business since we started. It’s not just about planting; there’s a lot of paperwork and planning involved too. We try to keep it simple and honest. If a member has a problem, we talk it out and see how the group can help. It’s a real community effort. We’re just local women trying to make sure our farms are productive and our families are taken care of. No marketing talk here, just hard work and cooperation among neighbors in Ghetugachi. We’re proud of what we do and how we help each other every single day.
