Shitake Agro India Private Limited

You can find Shitake Agro India Private Limited over in Garapota, which is near Bagula in the Nadia district. We are basically a family-run operation. The names on the paperwork are Gopal and Ganesh Chandra Biswas, and we all live and work right here. We started this because we wanted to do something with the land in this part of West Bengal. It’s a quiet area, and most of our neighbors are also involved in some kind of farming. We spend a lot of time in the sheds and the fields. It’s not a corporate office with air conditioning. Usually, there is a lot of dust and the sound of birds and tractors. We focus on agro products, which keeps us busy all year round. Some days are longer than others, especially when we are trying to get a shipment ready or the weather is acting up. We have our small setup in Garapota and we try to keep things simple. We don't use big words or have fancy meetings. We just sit around and figure out what needs to be planted or picked. It’s hard work on the back and the hands, but it’s what we know how to do. Being in Nadia is good for this kind of work. We’ve been here a long time, and we just keep doing what we do every day without much fuss.
