Joy Maa Tara Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Gobindapur in the Nadia district. We’re specifically located in Chakdahadighra. It is a quiet place where most people are involved in farming one way or another. We set this up to handle the local produce and help out with the logistics of getting things from the field to the market. It isn’t a big, shiny office. Most of the time, the floor is a bit dusty and there are sacks piled up in the corners. We spend our days checking on the crops and talking to the people who grow them. Nadia has some good soil, but the weather can be a real headache sometimes. If it rains too much, we are all worried. If it’s too dry, it’s even worse. We don’t have a fancy team of executives. It’s just us, some local folks who know how to work the land. We handle the paperwork and the distribution right here in the village. Sometimes we sit outside on plastic chairs to discuss the next harvest. It’s a very simple way of doing things, but it works for us. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words. We just want to make sure the work gets done and the farmers get their due. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours during the peak season, but that’s just how it goes here. We are just local people doing our best.
