Nakshipara Goat Farmers & Agriculture Producer Company Limited. Located at Purba Daspara in Nadia. I am Gopal’s son, and we’ve been here in Muragachha for a long time. The goat business is different from just planting crops because you have to look after the animals every single day no matter what. We started this producer company because it was getting harder to do everything alone. Now we have several people involved from the village and the surrounding areas. We mostly focus on the goats but we do some other farming too since the land here is good for it. It gets loud around the office when the animals are nearby, and there’s always a bit of dust. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a house where we handle the books and talk to the other farmers. Nadia is a good place for this kind of work. We spend a lot of time checking on the health of the livestock and making sure the feed is right. It’s a lot of physical labor, and my hands are usually dirty by noon. We aren't trying to be some giant corporation. We just want to make sure the goats are healthy and the crops grow so we can keep things moving for the families here. Sometimes we make mistakes with the scheduling, but we fix it and keep going. That is just how life is.
