Wonderland Restaurant & Coffee House

Wonderland Restaurant & Coffee House is way up in Leh, Ladakh. You can find us on Changspa Road, not far from the Alpha Mess. Being in Leh means we have to deal with the high altitude and the cold weather, especially when the season changes. Our place is a mix of a restaurant and a spot to grab a coffee. We get a lot of travelers who are passing through Leh on their way to the mountains. It’s a simple building with a lot of character. We don't have a polished corporate look. It’s more of a place where you can sit and relax for a while. The kitchen is always busy making hot food to help people deal with the chilly air outside. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place running, especially when the supplies take a long time to reach us up here. Changspa Road is a busy street for tourists, so we see people from all over the world. It’s interesting to hear their stories while we serve them. We don't have a massive team, just a few of us who live and work here in Leh. Sometimes the internet or the power goes out, but we just carry on with candles or whatever we have. It’s a quiet, honest life in the mountains, and we just provide a warm spot for people to eat. It's a bit of a challenge sometimes but we like it here.
