Tri Gem Restaurant

Tri Gem Restaurant is out here in Leh Ladakh. Specifically, we’re in the Gobaskalzang area of Upper Changspa. The address is 194101. It’s a bit of a trek for some people to get here, but it’s where we are. We call the place Leh Ho sometimes in conversation. It’s a mountain area, so things move a bit slower than in the big cities down south. We’ve been running the place in Upper Changspa for some time now. It’s just a local restaurant. We don’t have a big staff. It’s mostly just us. The air is thin and the weather changes fast, but we stay open. People find us when they are wandering around Leh. We have a simple sign. Tri Gem is what everyone knows us as. It’s a quiet spot most of the year except for the busy tourist season. We just do our own thing. The kitchen is always busy in the evenings. We like the location in Gobaskalzang. It feels like home to us. There isn’t any corporate polish here. Just tables, chairs, and the food we make every day. It’s a practical way to live and work. We just keep the doors open and welcome whoever comes through. That's really all there is to it. We stay busy with the prep work and the cleaning. It’s just a regular life in a beautiful place.
