Shree Bikaner Restaurant

If you ever find yourself at Hanuman Circle in Jaisalmer, you will see Shree Bikaner Restaurant right there. We are situated opposite the Geeta Ashram, which is a landmark most people know around here. The desert sun can be pretty intense, so our place is often a spot where people come to get out of the heat for a bit. We keep things very straightforward here. We have the usual snacks and meals that people expect when they are in Rajasthan. The morning starts with getting the stove hot and preparing the dough for the day. It’s a lively spot because the circle is always full of autos, tourists, and locals going about their business. We see all kinds of people, from travelers with big backpacks to shop owners from the nearby market. The interior isn't anything special, just chairs and tables that have seen a lot of use over the years. We spend a lot of time wiping down counters and making sure the tea is brewing. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded and loud, especially in the evenings when everyone is out for a walk. We don’t try to be a fancy tourist place; we are just a regular restaurant serving the people who happen to be at Hanuman Circle. It’s a simple life running a kitchen here, but it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. There is always a lot of dust from the road, so we clean constantly.
