Gad

So we’re over here at The Gateway Hotel on the road between Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. It’s pretty quiet out this way but we like it that way. Most people just stop by when they’re heading into town or leaving for the desert. Gad is just what we call the place. We don’t really do fancy descriptions. If you're driving along that main 345001 stretch you’ll see us. It’s been here a while and it's mostly locals or travelers staying at the hotel who wander in. We keep things simple because that's just easier for everyone. The desert wind can get a bit much sometimes but the building holds up. We usually have a few people working the floor who know the area well. It isn't a massive operation or anything. Just a spot to sit for a bit. We're right there at the hotel entrance basically. Not much more to say about it honestly. You find us, you come in, you leave when you’re done. The address is pretty clear if you have a map. Jaisalmer can be hot so having a roof over your head helps. We've seen a lot of people come through over the years. Some are just passing through to see the fort and others are staying longer. We just keep the doors open and do what we do every day without much fuss. It works for us and seems to work for the folks who stop by.
