Desert Bite

We are right here at the Seemagram campus in Jaisalmer, just down from the fort parking on fort road. It gets pretty dusty out this way, but we have our spot set up for anyone coming through. Most people are either heading up to the fort or just coming back down tired, so they stop in for a bit. We started Desert Bite because we wanted a place that wasn't too fancy or too expensive. It’s just us working here every single day. The sun in Jaisalmer is no joke, so having a roof over your head while you eat is nice. We don’t have big neon signs or anything like that. Just look for us below the parking area. Sometimes it gets crowded when the big tour buses arrive, but we usually manage just fine. We’ve been at this address for a bit now. It is a simple life here in the desert. We make what we know how to make and don't try to be something we aren't. The fort road is always busy with people and cows and bikes. You get used to the noise after a while. If you are looking for some food without all the extra fuss, that is what we do. We aren't trying to be a five-star hotel. Just a local place for a quick meal. The bricks are old and the fans spin fast when it’s hot. We keep the water cold and the food hot. That is about it really.
