Royal Rasoi Restaurant

The Fort Road is always full of people and we have been right here in Jaisalmer for quite a long time now. Our shop is at Dhibba Para. It is a simple place where we cook and serve food to anyone who walks in through the door. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us making sure things get done. The kitchen stays hot all day, especially in the summer months when the sun is really hitting the road outside. We have some fans that we keep running to try and stay cool. The chairs are just regular wooden ones and sometimes they wobble, so we have to fix them. We aren't looking to be the fanciest place in town, we just want to get the meals out on time. Sometimes when it’s busy, things get a bit loud, but that is just how it is. We buy our vegetables from the local market nearby every morning so they are fresh. My brother handles the money at the front and I stay mostly in the back. We have seen a lot of tourists and locals come and go over the years. It’s a lot of work to keep a restaurant going, but it is what we know how to do. We just keep the floor swept and the water cold for everyone who stops by. It isn't much to look at from the outside, but we keep it going every day without much fuss.
