White Residency Restaurant

We’ve been here on Kamaraj Salai for a while now. Most people know us because we’re right near Jeeva Theatre. It’s a busy spot in Pondicherry, especially when a big movie comes out and the crowds start moving around. Our place isn't anything fancy, just a regular spot where you can sit down and get something to eat. We open up in the morning, get the kitchen ready, and stay busy until the night. Some days are louder than others, depending on the traffic outside. The address is No 57, and if you're coming from the main part of town, you can't really miss the building. We see a lot of the same faces every week, mostly locals who live nearby or work in the shops around here. Sometimes tourists wander in after walking around the French Quarter, looking for a place that feels a bit more normal. We just keep things moving, making sure there’s enough food for whoever walks through the door. It gets hot in the afternoons, so the fans are always going. We don't do much advertising or anything like that. Most folks just know we are here. It’s just us doing our thing every day, keeping the tables wiped down and the water jars filled. Being on this street means there is always something happening outside. It is just a part of the daily life in Pondicherry. We don't try to be anything we aren't.
