Arabian Spice N Rice

We are Arabian Spice N Rice, located at number 160 on Kamarajar Salai in Saram. We’re right near the SBI branch here in Pondicherry. It’s a busy road with lots of bikes and cars going by all day. Our shop isn't very big, but we make it work. We spend most of our mornings getting the spices ready and soaking the rice. You can usually smell the cooking from the sidewalk. We have a few tables inside for people who want to eat quickly before heading back to work. A lot of our customers are people working in the offices nearby or locals who just want a quick meal. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us in the kitchen and one person taking orders. Sometimes the line gets a bit long during the lunch hour, and we have to ask people to wait a few minutes. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re more focused on the food. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and start cooking. It’s a practical way to earn a living. We like being in the Saram area because it’s always lively and full of energy. If you’re looking for us, just look for the sign near the bank. That is all there is to it.
