You can find Cafe X O Restaurant inside the French Villa Hotel on Suffren Street. We are located at number 51, right in the heart of Pondicherry. Most people use Fabeindia as a landmark because it is just a short walk away from us. Being in this part of town means we are surrounded by all that old colonial architecture and the quiet streets that Pondicherry is known for. We aren't a big, flashy restaurant chain. We are just a part of the hotel here, trying to provide a decent place for people to eat. Suffren Street is one of those places where you can actually hear the birds sometimes, which is nice. We get a mix of travelers staying at the hotel and locals who just happen to be walking by. The building itself has a lot of character, and we’ve tried to keep things simple so the focus stays on the food and the atmosphere. It’s a bit of an old-fashioned way of doing things, but we like it that way. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. We just open the doors and wait for people to come in. Sometimes the kitchen is a bit slow when we’re busy, but we do our best to keep things moving. It’s a quiet, honest little spot near the sea.
