Blue Star Chettinad Veg & Non Veg Restaurant

We are Blue Star Chettinad. We have both veg and non-veg options because people around here like to have a choice. Our place is on A-1, Cuddalore Main Road in Mudaliarpet. If you know where the Post Office is in Mudaliarpet, we are right opposite that. It’s a good landmark for finding us. Pondicherry gets a lot of visitors, but we mostly see the locals from the neighborhood. The Cuddalore Main Road is always busy with buses and scooters going by. Inside, it’s usually a bit quieter. We focus on Chettinad style cooking because that’s what we grew up with. It's not a big corporate chain. It’s just us. We’ve got some simple tables and chairs. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint soon, but for now, they're okay. We try to keep the food hot and the water cold. That’s about it. Some days the fish is better than others depending on what we get from the market. We don't try to hide that. We just serve what’s fresh. People seem to appreciate that we aren't trying to be something we're not. It’s just a plain restaurant in Mudaliarpet. You come in, you eat, you go about your day. That’s how we like it. The post office is usually the best way to explain where we are to people who haven't visited before.
