You can find us at number 112 on Maraimalai Adigal Salai, right here in Pondicherry. We are very close to the Mass Hotel, so most people use that as a landmark to find our door. We brought the Dindigul style of cooking here because that is what we know and love. Our kitchen is usually a very busy place, especially around lunch when the smell of the spices starts drifting out onto the street. It’s not a fancy, high-end place where you need to dress up. It’s more of a spot where you come in, find a seat, and eat your meal without any fuss. The tables are simple and we keep the floors swept, but we are more interested in what’s happening in the pots. Maraimalai Adigal Salai is always noisy with traffic, and we fit right into that energy. Sometimes we run out of certain items early if the crowd is bigger than we expected, but that’s just how it goes with fresh food. We don’t use frozen stuff or pre-made mixes. Everything is done the old way, the way we learned back home. Being near the 605003 area code means we get a lot of locals and some tourists who are tired of the usual café food. We just serve what we cook and we try to make sure nobody leaves with an empty stomach. It is just a regular restaurant run by people who like to cook.
