V M Biryani Centre

We started V M Biryani Centre over on Vazhudhavur Road in Thattanchavadi. If you are looking for us, we are near Sri Maruthi Medicals. This part of Pondicherry is usually quite busy with local traffic. We focus mostly on biryani because that is what people ask for the most. Our shop at No. 199 is a simple place. We have a few tables if you want to eat here, but a lot of people just take their food home. I am usually there every day making sure the rice and meat are being cooked properly. It’s a small operation. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of guys helping out. We go through a lot of spices and rice every week. The 605009 area has plenty of shops, so we get a good mix of people stopping by. It isn't a fancy dining experience. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint and the chairs are just the plastic kind. But it works for what we do. We don't have a website or any big ads. Most people just find us because they live nearby or work at the medical shops. We try to keep the food ready around the usual lunch and dinner times. It’s a lot of standing around the stove, but we are used to it by now. Just a regular biryani spot on a busy road in Thattanchavadi.
