The Pasta Bar Veneto

We are over at No 248 on Mission Street in Pondicherry. Most people find us because we are right opposite Choco La, which is a popular landmark around here. We call ourselves The Pasta Bar Veneto, but at the end of the day, we are just a kitchen making food for the locals and the tourists. Mission Street can get pretty crowded, especially on weekends when everyone is out walking. We try to keep the atmosphere inside a bit more relaxed. We serve a lot of pasta, obviously. We don't have a giant menu with hundreds of items. We stick to what we know how to cook. The kitchen isn't huge, so when it gets busy, you might have to wait a little. We don't mind that, and usually, the customers don't either. We use simple ingredients. There aren't any secret recipes or complicated techniques involved. Just boiling water and making sauces. The staff here is mostly local folks who have lived in Pondicherry their whole lives. We know the area well. If you want a plate of food and a seat away from the sun, we’re a decent option. We don't do any big promotions or fancy ads. We just open the doors and see who comes in. It’s a humble way to run a business.
